Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the University of Groningen studies human behaviour from various perspectives. It focuses on the question why people do what they do, both related to “normal” human behaviour and to behaviour that deviates from the norm. This also includes fields of study such as, for example, the human development throughout life, the functioning of the brain and brain disorders, and the relationship between job characteristics and the functioning of employees. Human behaviour, biological structures and environmental factors are the core issues of our study. Our Department of Psychology is specialized in the following areas:
-
Clinical Psychology
Our programs give students a thorough understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of psychology and practical application of theory to everyday life.
Exchange students
Exchange students are welcome to follow selected course units for one semester. Psychology majors can pick and choose a custom program from our list of fully English-taught courses that are open to exchange students.
More information on the course offer can be found here.
