UG Open Science Programme

The University of Groningen has recently launched an Open Science programme. The programme aims to stimulate Open Science and make it an integral part of the UG’s research and teaching culture.

The programme has been commissioned by the Board of the University and is a unique collaboration between the University of Groningen Library, University Services (Cluster Research & Impact), the Center for Information Technology, and the Open Science Community Groningen. The Open Science programme comprises five pillars: Open Access, FAIR Data and Software, Open Education, Public Engagement, and Communication. The Communication pillar has its own deliverables in addition to supporting the entire programme. Read more about the ambitions and goals of each pillar:
